1. Who is the controller
The controller of your personal data is Auralyn s. r. o., IČO 57 581 088, with registered office at Karpatské námestie 7770/10A, 831 06 Bratislava – mestská časť Rača, Slovak Republic. Registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, Section: Sro, Insert No. 198740/B. You can reach us at info@auralynapp.com.
2. What data we collect
When you join the Auralyn waitlist we collect your email address. If you choose to answer our optional follow-up questions, we may also store the type of phone you use, the trigger sounds that affect you most, and whether you are interested in testing the app before launch. We also record technical context of the signup: the referral source (for example a ?ref= parameter or the website you came from), your browser language, and the date of signup.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process this data to send you development updates about Auralyn, to invite you to the beta, and to understand which platforms and trigger sounds to prioritise. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given when you submit the form. You may withdraw it at any time.
4. Health-related answers (GDPR Art. 9)
Answers about your trigger sounds can reveal information about your health (for example misophonia or sound sensitivity). This is a special category of personal data under Article 9 GDPR. These questions are entirely optional, we store the answers only if you explicitly choose to provide them (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR — explicit consent), and skipping them has no effect on your place on the waitlist.
5. Processors we use
We share your data only with service providers that help us operate the waitlist: Supabase (database hosting, EU region), Resend (transactional email delivery, EU region), Lovable (website hosting) and Tally (Tally BV, Belgium — survey forms).
6. Retention
We keep your data until you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete it. After that we erase it without undue delay, except where we are legally required to retain records.
7. Research survey
We run a voluntary research survey using Tally (Tally BV, Belgium), which acts as a processor on our behalf.
The survey asks about your experience with sound sensitivity. Some questions concern your health, including whether you have a related diagnosis. These are a special category of data under Article 9(1) GDPR, and we process them only on the basis of your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a), given by ticking the consent box at the start of the survey.
Purpose: to develop and improve the app, to inform its pricing, and to select participants for testing.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes. It is handled only by the processors listed above, strictly on our instructions.
We may share findings from the survey with researchers and clinicians working on misophonia, but only as anonymised aggregate statistics — summary figures from which no individual can be identified. Individual responses are never shared.
The survey is voluntary. Declining has no effect on your place on the waitlist.
Retention: responses are kept until you withdraw consent, and in any case no longer than 24 months after submission, after which they are deleted or fully anonymised.
Withdrawing consent: email info@auralynapp.com and we will delete your responses. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out beforehand.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time (which does not affect processing done before the withdrawal). To exercise any of these rights, email info@auralynapp.com or simply reply to any email we send you. We respond within one month.
9. Complaints
If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority — Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, Slovakia (dataprotection.gov.sk).
10. Changes
We may update this policy as Auralyn develops. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
